Renault’s sleek Laguna Coupé turns heads on RPM

The Laguna nameplate has not been the most successful for Renault in South Africa, but the Laguna Coupé is a far cry from its more mundane predecessors. As we find out this week on RPM TV, a superior chassis with four-wheel steering is the car’s main claim to fame, but it also offers head-turning styling and upper-class appointments.

Also spotlighted this week is the tar-burning Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG super saloon – a four-door with real muscle and even more attitude. That AMG badge isn’t just an empty promise, either ...

A performance machine we’ve become quite attached to is our long-term Mini JCW, but like all good things, our time with the cheeky Brit has come to an end. This week, we summarise our experience behind the wheel of this entertaining pocket rocket.

Finally, on a more pragmatic level, Peugeot’s 207 subcompact hatchback recently underwent a series of updates, including a new, more efficient engine, and some subtle styling changes. The result is one of the more underrated hatches on our roads.

RPM TV premieres this Wednesday night at 20h30 on SuperSport 2 and SS2 Africa. We’re also on the MNET main channel and on SuperSport 2 at 08h15 on Thursday morning. And don’t forget the long list of repeat broadcasts covering the remainder of the week.
