Merc’s SLS AMG superstar shines!

This week on RPM TV, we attend the launch of the long-awaited Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar. The modern successor to the immortal, gull-winged 300SL, the two-seater mixes nostalgia with advanced technology and brutal performance.

We also put the recently updated Nissan Qashqai through its paces. The version on test offers a CVT gearbox for the first time, linked to Nissan’s 2,0-litre petrol engine. Another softroader under the RPM TV spotlight is the Hyundai iX35 – a smartly styled successor to the Tucson, with a lot more than competitive pricing to offer.

And finally, we find out just how athletic Suzuki’s new Swift 1.6 Sport really is. The three-door has been expected here for some time, and will only be offered in limited numbers.

RPM TV premieres this Wednesday night at 20h30 on SuperSport 2, SS2 Africa and CSN. We’re also on the MNET main channel and on SuperSport 2 at 07h30 on Thursday morning. And don’t forget the long list of repeat broadcasts covering the remainder of the week.
